EasyVoxBox Network Installation
This newest EasyVoxBox (EVB) installation method and package is a network install. This means that to begin the installation you must download a small (less than 8 MB) ISO image file and use it to burn a CDROM. When the target computer boots from the CDROM you are prompted to enter the web address of the installation package. This installation includes the operating system and all of the EasyVoxBox applications.
To start, download this image file and burn it as an ISO image to a CDROM using a working computer connected to the Internet and with a CDROM writer.
On the computer you intend to target for the EVB installation, configure its BIOS to boot to the CDROM first and then the hard drive. Also set the BIOS clock time to the correct UTC date and time. Insert the above mentioned CDROM and restart the computer.
When the EasyVoxBox CENTOS Linux installation boot prompt appears, press Enter.
The Operating System installation then starts and after a few minutes will prompt you to set the root password and select your local timezone. Make sure you have previously set the PC BIOS time to the correct UTC date and time. When the install screen prompts you, check "Computer Clock Uses UTC" time and select your timezone from the list. The installation then continues automatically and will take about 45 minutes depending on the speed of your Internet connection and computer CPU.
When the Operating System installation is complete you will be prompted to remove the CDROM and press Enter so the computer can reboot and continue with the installation of the EasyVoxBox applications. This will take another 45 minutes and the process will stop near the end and wait for your response to a few questions and notices.
After this phase of the installation completes you can use another computer on your network to browse to the EVB configuration pages. Select Admin / PBX Setup / Apply Changes from the available menus to initialize the configuration database and then select System, then Reboot for a fresh start.
Your system is now ready for the configuration of extensions, trunks, routes, IVR's and features to meet your needs.
REMEMBER THAT THIS INSTALLATION PROCESS WILL ERASE AND REPLACE ALL DATA ON YOUR COMPUTER WITH THIS NEW INSTALLATION.
